About the Role

CO_65 Bird Industrial Management Services Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Field Quality Inspector to join our Quality Control Team. As a Field Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and execute quality control measures on site to ensure compliance with codes and client specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineer's drawings, including P&IDs and isometric drawings.
  • Review and document 3rd party records, including NDE and MTR reports.
  • Create and maintain inspection records and reports, including logs, test packages, and turnover documentation.
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds, dimensional verification, weld mapping, and red line drawings.
  • Develop and implement pressure test packages and witness testing.
  • Ensure material traceability, including recording and verifying welds and heat numbers.
  • Develop and ensure compliance to Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Coordinate and assist in assembling turnover documentation.
Requirements
  • CWB Level II Certified Welding Inspector.
  • Competent knowledge of NDE processes and ASME B31.3 and CSA Codes.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in computer programs, including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Related experience in industrial mechanical construction and quality control.
  • General experience and knowledge in earthworks, geotechnical, formwork, and concrete, super-structural steel, architectural, and/or infrastructure would be considered an asset.
  • Maintain positive relationships with project team members.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
