Job Overview

The MRO Planning Manager role is a key position within our Business Development department, reporting directly to the Senior Manager Business Development. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering accurate, competitively priced estimates, collaborating with stakeholders to improve labor estimates and pre-planning processes, and overseeing the BD Estimating and BD Pre-Planning teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and estimate maintenance projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of estimates to customers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and improve labor estimates and pre-planning processes, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
  • Oversee the BD Estimating and BD Pre-Planning teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring exceptional service and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage and control human resources required to execute work, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective project delivery.
  • Develop and implement data analysis tools to improve system efficiency and drive business growth.
  • Standardize and maintain the bidding process, ensuring consistency and accuracy in estimate development.
  • Communicate and present customer feedback internally, driving continuous improvement and process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a planning and estimating function in aircraft heavy maintenance.
  • Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of 15 years' experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manhours vs skill set (workforce composition) and operational processes and procedures.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of professionals.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
