About the Role

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking a casual Psychometrist to join the Brain, Body, and Perception Research Program. This lab conducts clinical neuroscience research to understand relationships between brain functioning, brain structure, and behavior across psychiatric disorders and in individuals with gender dysphoria.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured diagnostic interviews
  • Administer psychometric instruments
  • Document assessments meticulously
  • Ensure quality control and safety compliance
  • Provide feedback to staff and research participants

You will work independently while contributing to the overall organization of the laboratory. Your role will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Psychology with two (2) years of relevant research or clinical experience
  • Previous experience conducting assessments in a clinical environment is an asset
  • Experience administering standardized clinical and/or psychometric measures with patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and/or anorexia nervosa. Experience with the DIAMOND, MINI, BDD-M, BDD-YBOCS, MADRS, BABS, and/or the HAMA is desired.
  • Experience with body dysmorphic disorder and anorexia nervosa patients is desired
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills are essential. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment is also crucial.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise initiative with good judgment and tact
  • Computer skills, including word processing, electronic communication, and workload measures are essential
  • Demonstrated ability to work with clients of diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds is necessary
  • Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
