About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at Gemtron Canada Corporation. As a Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Check and weigh materials and products, sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products.
  • Assistance: Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers as needed.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas, and perform other laboring and elemental activities.
  • Glass Handling: Heat, anneal, temper, or form float glass or glass products.
Work Environment

As a Laborer at Gemtron Canada Corporation, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding conditions. You will be required to stand for extended periods, combine sitting, standing, and walking, and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and a team player attitude.
