About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Logistics Operations team at Distance Freight Carrier INC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of our transportation management functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations.
    • Authorize and coordinate the establishment of new departments and senior staff positions to support business growth.
  • Performance Management
    • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps and improve overall performance.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Represent the organization in negotiations and other official functions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Delegate authority to middle managers, directors, or other executive staff to create optimum working conditions and drive business results.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Experience
    • At least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in logistics or transportation management.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a large workload.
