- Execute diverse engineering tasks that necessitate a broad understanding of engineering principles and the interrelated impacts of your work on other engineering domains.
- Utilize advanced scheduling tools (e.g., P6, Deswik, Sched, MS Project) to oversee project timelines and resource allocation.
- Demonstrate problem-solving abilities through standard procedures, adaptations of existing methods, or innovative approaches developed from prior experiences.
- This role is primarily office-based but requires regular site visits to mining and construction projects, regional partner offices, suppliers, and industry events.
- Conduct site visits in both surface and underground environments, typical of the mining sector.
- Assess and monitor operations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance processes and production efficiency.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
- Physical requirements include the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience in underground mining is advantageous but not mandatory.
- High proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., P6, Deswik, Sched, MS Project) is preferred.
- Willingness to travel frequently to different sites and countries.
- International engineering degrees must be validated through the Association of Professional Engineers and Geo-scientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
- Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT).
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is considered an asset.
