About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Foreman/Woman to join our team at Houston Landscapes LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of 16-20 people, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for our clients' properties.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Conduct thorough assessments to determine resource requirements for projects.
  • Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction process, ensuring high-quality results and timely completion.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate with clients, contractors, and staff to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately document project progress, materials used, and staff performance.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure necessary resources to support project execution.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues, offer expert guidance, and implement process improvements.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient workflows to maximize productivity.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Required for transportation and travel.
  • Manual Dexterity, Attention to Detail, and Excellent Oral Communication Skills: Essential for effective communication and project execution.
  • Steel-Toed Safety Boots and Gloves: Required for on-site work.
