Job Title: Distributor Sales Consultant

Distributor Sales Consultants are sales solution specialists responsible for growing and developing assigned territories in the beauty industry. This role involves expanding sales through new customer acquisition and sales growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and Establish Key Accounts: Develop a route to efficiently grow and develop existing customers while seeking new partnerships.
  • Develop and Implement Sales Initiatives: Demonstrate and assist customers in planning, implementing, and tracking results of in-salon promotions, programs, and concepts.
  • Communicate Sales Initiatives: Partner with vendors to achieve corporate sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Analyze Accounts: Determine brand support, education, and promotions needed to grow within each salon.
  • Execute Sales Goals: Call on customers in person to execute established sales goals.
  • Manage Administrative Aspects: Effectively manage daily order entry, customer information, and activity for assigned territory.
  • Attract and Retain Salon Clientele: Utilize social media as a form of communication, promotion, education, and product knowledge.
  • Conduct Product Knowledge Classes: Provide effective in-person and virtual product knowledge classes.
  • Communicate with Manager: Share calls, visits, orders, sales progress, follow-up plans, and any assistance needed with the manager.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 Year Outside Sales Experience: Demonstrated outside sales experience or beauty industry experience with an emphasis on consultative selling.
  • Working Knowledge of Inventory Control Systems: Strongly preferred.
  • Excellent Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PDF Expert, and Oracle.
  • Ability to Build an Online Community: Create social connections using search engines and other internet tools.
  • Strong Time Management and Organization Skills: Ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Clearly and effectively communicate at all levels within and outside the organization.
