About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at VENTUS CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Help medical examiners in charge and assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites and assist in demolishing buildings.
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials and assist in translating military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
Work Environment

As a Construction Labourer at VENTUS CONSTRUCTION LTD., you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks. You will be required to work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces, and will be exposed to noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • Experience in construction or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
