About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at ALFIE CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a Construction Labourer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by loading, unloading, and transporting materials as required.
  • Construction Tasks: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as needed.
  • Assistance with Building: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs under the guidance of experienced tradespeople.
  • Demolition and Maintenance: Assist in demolishing buildings and performing routine maintenance work as required.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Site Management: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: The role is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads.
  • Weight Handling: You will be required to lift and move weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as needed.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots as part of your personal protective equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Training and Development: Willingness to train and develop skills in construction labouring.
  • Work Schedule: The role is a permanent position, working 32 hours per week.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required for effective communication with colleagues and management.
