Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional resident care while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resident Care
    • Ensure that residents receive exceptional care while following established protocols and physician orders.
    • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with nursing and personal care staff to ensure seamless delivery of care.
    • Assist in the management of staff workloads and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training and professional development opportunities for new staff members.
    • Refer concerns to the Director of Care as needed.

Requirements

  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks as needed.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
  • Developed problem-solving skills to address complex care situations.
