Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, designing electrical generation and distribution networks, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility studies and research to determine the viability of electrical generation and distribution projects
  • Design and develop electrical generation and distribution networks, including lighting systems and control systems
  • Commission systems and components, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes
  • Confer with clients to determine design needs and project requirements
  • Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to ensure project success
  • Prepare detailed specifications and technical reports
  • Coordinate access and use of computer networks and software, including Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, ETAP, LabView, and MS Project
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design and consulting
  • Strong knowledge of electrical generation and distribution networks, including lighting systems and control systems
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Canadian Electrical (CE) Code and electrical engineering standards
  • Knowledge of renewable resources and energy efficiency
  • Experience with project management software, including MS Project
