Phlebotomist (Plasma Associate) - Laboratory and Phlebotomy Specialist

Job Summary:
Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Plasma Associate to join our dynamic Plasma Operations team. As a Plasma Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the plasma donation program and promoting a positive experience for donors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your excellent customer service skills to promote a positive experience for donors throughout the collection process.
- Utilize your superior interpersonal and communication skills to greet and assist plasma donors as they progress through the donation process.
- Apply your experience and training in phlebotomy to perform venipuncture according to established standards and provide post-donation care and instruction.
- Ensure accuracy of product information in our IT system and complete the product labeling process.
- Contribute to the framework of continuous improvement and implementation of best practice standards with the team.
Requirements:
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution, preferably in science/health-related fields of study.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience working with the public, particularly in a high customer-focused environment.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
- Knowledge of and experience working with current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Work Environment:
Shifts/hours will vary. You must be flexible to accommodate assigned shifts which are based on operational needs. Shifts include days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
