Aecon Utilities is committed to delivering projects with speed, intelligence, and safety. We're seeking a Lineperson to join our team and contribute to our goal of becoming Canada's #1 utility construction provider.
As a Lineperson, you will assist experienced Journeypersons in job safety planning and work execution. You will perform line construction, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing de-energized, live line hot stick, or live line barehand techniques on voltages up to and including 44KV.
You will also operate and maintain heavy and tracked equipment, including Radial Arm Diggers, Line Trucks, Cranes, and all-terrain equipment as required. Additionally, you will provide support to client demands, which may include emergency calls and planned overtime.

Requirements:
- Power Lineperson Apprenticeship and Trade Certificate
- Utility experience constructing, installing, and maintaining overhead, underground, transmission, and distribution systems
- Thorough knowledge of Provincial Electrical Utilities Regulations and provincial specific Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Codes
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with a desire to provide excellent customer service
- Valid Driver's License G and reliable transportation along with DZ
- Ability to climb towers and poles, work at heights, and work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment or independently with supervision
- Experience with UWPC will be an advantage
- Strong interpersonal, team participation, and communication skills
