Aecon Utilities: Delivering Projects with Speed, Smarts, and Safety

We're committed to becoming Canada's #1 utility construction provider, and we're looking for a skilled Lineperson to help us achieve this goal. As a Lineperson at Aecon Utilities, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced Journeypersons in job safety planning and work execution.
  • Perform line construction, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including Radial Arm Diggers, Line Trucks, Cranes, and all-terrain equipment.
  • Provide support to client demands, including emergency calls and planned overtime.
  • Maintain personal and group safety at all times.

Requirements:

  • Power Lineperson Apprenticeship and Trade Certificate.
  • Utility experience constructing, installing, and maintaining overhead, underground, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of Provincial Electrical Utilities Regulations and provincial specific Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Codes.
  • Valid Driver's License G and reliable transportation along with DZ.
  • Ability to climb towers and poles, work at heights, and work in extreme weather conditions.
