About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated tests using standard test automation frameworks
  • Contribute to manual testing process and analyze test scenarios to be automated
  • Deliver automation scripts in an Agile model with efficiency and accuracy
  • Continuously improve automated testing methodologies to enable QA SMEs to maximize test coverage
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in Test Automation using Selenium-Java
  • Experience in creating/maintaining automation BDD/TDD framework (Using Cucumber, Maven, TestNG)
  • Knowledge of tools and frameworks such as WebdriverIO, REST Assured, Cucumber, Mocha, and Axe-core
  • Hands-on experience with web-based applications and API web services
  • Hands-on experience using tools like SOAP UI, Postman, or similar
  • Good knowledge of version control tools such as Git, Bitbucket
  • Good knowledge of writing SQL/NoSQL queries
  • Scripting experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Xray, and test management tool HP ALM
  • Very good knowledge of QA processes and hands-on experience of preparing testing artifacts
  • Well knowledge of Agile principles and flexibility to adapt to new environments
  • Previous experience in major Canadian banks or Financial Institutions considered an asset
