Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking Clinical Externs to support a wide range of patient populations across various sites. As an unregulated healthcare provider, you will work under the direct/indirect supervision of an Extern Coordinator and be an integral member of the interprofessional healthcare team.

The Clinical Extern will be involved in delivering care to patients, including measuring vital signs, assisting with personal care and activities of daily living, promoting patient safety through falls risk assessments and skin assessments, and other interventions assigned or delegated by the interprofessional team.

To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a recognized Occupational Therapy program with the successful completion of one clinical placement. The Clinical Extern position is open to part-time and temporary hire until March 31, 2025.

Key qualifications include excellent academic standing, ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and strong communication and organizational skills. Preference will be given to candidates with previous clinical placement experience at Hamilton Health Sciences.
