Position Details
Title: Forklift Driver
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
Role Objective: We are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to fill the role of Forklift Driver in Truro, NS. This full-time position may require flexible hours based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Transporting raw materials to various machinery throughout the facility.
- Removing completed products from different machines.
- Ensuring all transportation activities are conducted safely and systematically.
- Performing additional tasks as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Preferred forklift certification and relevant experience.
- Able to work 12-hour shifts.
- Capable of reading (production schedules, plant orders) and writing (record keeping, documentation).
- Basic math skills are necessary for managing the large volumes of materials used and produced.
- Approximately 1 to 3 months of on-the-job training is necessary to familiarize oneself with the various aspects of the role (e.g., forklift operation, floor organization, material usage).
