Job Summary

The Manager, Child Care is a key role within the Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows School District No.42, responsible for the development and implementation of child care initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of early childhood education and the ability to manage and expand child care programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child care programs that meet the needs of the school district and the community.
  • Manage and expand existing child care space, including the creation of new child care spaces on school district property.
  • Collaborate with school district staff, community partners, and stakeholders to promote child care initiatives and services.
  • Develop and manage budgets for child care programs and services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to child care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in child care program management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
