Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Sales Representative to join our team at White Cap Canada. As a key member of our sales group, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our cladding and masonry façade, thermal and moisture protection, and fastening hardware products to specifiers and specification influencers in the architectural design community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Promote, consult, and sell White Cap Canada cladding and masonry façade, thermal and moisture protection, and fastening hardware products to specifiers and specification influencers in the architectural design community.
  • Identify market trends and maintain awareness of competitive activity in exterior cladding and general building envelope.
  • Track and manage project opportunities with the sales group and strategic suppliers.
  • Participate in industry-related associations and trade shows.
  • Attend training and seminars to develop knowledge of cladding and building envelope systems.
  • Achieve the Certified Technical Representative (CTR) designation within two years.
  • Apply technical problem-solving skills to determine and sell solutions to customers, utilizing a consultative sales approach and generating new opportunities through sales and marketing resources.
Nature and Scope
  • Identify key barriers and apply problem-solving skills to deal creatively with complex situations, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
  • Independently perform assignments with instruction limited to expected results, determining and developing approaches to solutions.
  • Oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, and contributing to employees' professional development.
Work Environment
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area with occasional need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
  • Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline and 5-8 years of experience in a related field, or an MS/MA and 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
