Position Overview:

The Area Operations Manager plays a crucial role in leading the Immigrant Settlement and Integration Program (ISIP) within a designated region. This position is integral to fostering community connections and enhancing the program's impact.

Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (32 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of ISIP activities to ensure they align with the established outcomes and performance metrics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local government, community organizations, and business entities.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of ISIP staff, ensuring effective program delivery and compliance with relevant agreements.
  • Compile and analyze program and financial data, preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the annual operating budget for the regional office in collaboration with the Service Manager and Program Director.
  • Engage with the community through events and initiatives that support the objectives of ISIP.
  • Conduct site management to ensure the smooth operation of the Integrated Settlement Program.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social sciences, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of senior management experience, ideally within a non-profit context.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and immigrant services.
  • Proven track record in program and community development.
  • Expertise in managing government-funded initiatives.
  • Strong financial and program management skills.
  • Familiarity with intercultural and social issues.
  • Proficient in MS Office and web-based applications.
  • Ability to analyze data for effective program planning and delivery.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
