Safety Coordinator Role

IDL Projects Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective health and safety programs and policies in compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Provide on-site direction and guidance to project teams on health and safety issues and topics.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and safety audits to monitor safe work practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Safety Manager to ensure health and safety programs meet legislative compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with current and new health and safety laws and regulations, ensuring the company complies with these laws.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a safety coordinator role or similar.
  • Industrial Construction industry experience is preferred.
  • Accreditation as a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or Construction Safety Officer (CSO).
  • Related post-secondary Health & Safety degrees, diplomas, and certifications are an asset.
  • Strong understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with key stakeholders in verbal, written, and electronic form.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
