Position Summary
The Engineering Salesperson will play a crucial role in addressing the needs of the engineering community by comprehensively understanding and detailing the selection of components, systems, and solutions for HVAC designs. Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for success in this role.

Compensation
Salary range is $70,000-$90,000.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture relationships with industry stakeholders, including Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Developers, and Owners, to enhance sales and increase market share in alignment with company objectives.
  • Maintain visibility within the engineering community to ensure product specifications and listings on various projects.
  • Assess client requirements and deliver suitable technical solutions to meet satisfaction and design intent.
  • Stay informed about industry standards, local codes, and market trends to ensure compliance and identify opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, prioritizing a Customer First approach in all business dealings.
  • Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Engage in self-education and participate in manufacturer training sessions to remain updated on the latest product innovations and software tools. (Travel may be required when feasible.)
  • Foster sustainable customer relationships through transparent communication.
  • Cross-train on both mechanical and air-side products to identify additional sales opportunities.
  • Participate in ASHRAE membership and attend monthly meetings.
  • Conduct Lunch and Learn presentations upon request.
  • Assist in planning and executing new product launches in the market.
  • Attend all divisional and office meetings.
  • Engage in industry-related events as necessary.
  • Support customer events as required, which may include open houses and networking events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with a strong understanding of HVAC systems.
  • A University degree or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer designation (PEng) is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret Architectural and Mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and resourceful.
  • Able to work independently under pressure.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and innovative approach.
  • Strong work ethic grounded in integrity and mutual respect.
