About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Little Bloomers Childcare Centre. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Program Development: Collaborate with our early childhood educators to design and implement programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in various activities, including storytelling, singing, and craft preparation, to foster their creativity and curiosity.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare snacks and maintain a clean and safe environment for children during lunch and rest periods.
  • Communication: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors and participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Setting: Our childcare centre is a dynamic and supportive environment that values the well-being and development of our children and staff.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as repetitive tasks.
