Job Summary

Autobus Granby inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented School Bus Dispatcher Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating bus traffic, ensuring routes are on time, and providing exceptional customer service to our drivers and passengers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage bus itineraries and schedules to ensure efficient and timely transportation services.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to drivers, resolving issues and making arrangements for unexpected events.
  • Select and assign vehicles and equipment to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor compliance with vehicle routes and schedules, as well as company rules and procedures.
  • Manage a high volume of communication with drivers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of trip data and driver information.
  • Validate travel documents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between Autobus Granby inc. and School Service Centers, drivers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Diploma in Transportation Logistics Technology or related field (an asset).
  • One year of dispatching experience.
  • Basic knowledge of radio distribution equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Maps software.
  • Knowledge of the Granby, Waterloo, and Sainte-Cécile de Milton road network.
  • Class 1 or Class 2 license.
  • No criminal record related to employment.
  • Valid Canadian work permit (mandatory).
  • Spoken and written language: French (mandatory).

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
