Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator to join our client in the manufacturing sector. As a key member of the Procurement Department, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Management: Issue purchase orders and track their progress through to receipt of goods.
  • Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best terms of cooperation.
  • Transport planning: Organize and coordinate the transport of goods in response to after-sales service requests.
  • Stock Monitoring: Monitor stock levels to ensure availability and avoid shortages.
  • Dispute Management: Resolve disputes with carriers and suppliers and implement corrective actions.
  • Data Analysis: Review purchasing and logistics data to identify opportunities for improvement, such as cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Non-Conformance Returns: Manage non-conformance returns with suppliers in collaboration with the Quality department.
  • General Support: Perform any other related tasks to effectively support the Procurement Department.

Requirements:

  • Degree relevant to this position.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to resolve disputes and implement corrective solutions.
  • Knowledge of logistics and inventory management processes.
  • Analytical skills for data review and process improvement.
  • Team spirit and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of transportation and customs (an asset).
