Accounting Specialist/Financial Record Keeper

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Offering bookkeeping assistance to our clients and internal teams.
  • Managing various accounting service tasks, such as general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and generating reports from accounting systems.
  • Effectively overseeing compilation engagements, which includes direct client communication for inquiries, identifying requirements, and resolving issues.
  • Preparing corporate and individual tax filings.
  • Completing additional responsibilities as assigned.
A successful candidate will have:

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Understanding of Canadian bookkeeping and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QBO, Sage 50, QuickBooks desktop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping tools like Dext or Caseware is a significant advantage.
  • Strong computer skills and the capability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities with the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to accommodate the unique needs of our clients, which may include occasional travel.
  • A collaborative team-oriented approach.
