About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispatchers Supervisor to join our team at RiteWay Moving & Storage. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Scheduling: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless execution of transportation services.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on key performance indicators, such as on-time delivery rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Staff Management: Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff as required.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain: Co-ordinate, assign and review work, and requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Operational Planning: Establish work schedules and procedures, and plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management: 11-15 people in the team, including shippers and receivers, transportation route and crew schedulers.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Windows.
  • Security and Safety: Must be bondable and have a clean driving record.
  • Transportation and Travel: Willing to travel, with vehicle supplied by employer, and travel expenses paid by employer.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, and attention to detail.
  • Weight Handling: Able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliable, and a team player.
