Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Solids Control Technician to join their team in Grande Prairie, AB. As a key member of the safety-conscious team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers while operating equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain solids control equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues, as well as assist with rigging up and rigging out of solids control equipment.
- Complete all required paperwork, including safety documents, JSA's, work orders, service records, and daily reports.
- Optimize centrifuges, barite recovery, and strip drilling mud.
- Sit in on client locations on a rotating day or night shift to ensure equipment runs efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues, as well as any other issues that arise.
- Complete reports and provide solutions for customers on-site.
- Repair, maintain, set up, and rig down Clean Harbors on-site accommodations, generators, and tank farm systems.
- Work in the shop during slow periods to assist in the maintenance and repair of all Clean Harbors equipment.
- Previous centrifuge operating experience is strongly preferred.
- Drilling rig experience is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License required, with a clean Driver's Abstract.
- First-Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO safety tickets are required upon hire.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to travel 50% of the year with up to 1-2 weeks away from home at a time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that will promote effective communication between customers, colleagues, and internal management.
- Flexible and motivated, able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and respond to change quickly.
