Job Summary

ISLAND TRAVEL INN INC. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Housekeeping Operations
    • Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean and well-maintained
    • Restock linens, toiletries, and amenities as needed
    • Respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Laundry and Linen Management
    • Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens and uniforms
    • Restock linen closets and supply areas
  • Housekeeping Equipment and Supplies
    • Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and cleaning solutions
    • Order and restock housekeeping supplies as needed
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with housekeeping team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
    • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve housekeeping skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
    • Will train on the job
  • Language and Communication
    • English language proficiency required
  • Work Environment and Conditions
    • Non-smoking environment

Working Conditions

The Housekeeping Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The position requires physical stamina, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
