Job Summary

This position, under the direction of the Technology Coordinator or designate, will be responsible for the repair, installation and maintenance of the technology and information services in the school district. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of current Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, network design and components, and supporting a variety of technology devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer security measures on hardware, software and network communications equipment.
  • Provide technology support services, both for new and existing users.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Coordinator to develop and implement technology plans and strategies.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the field.
Requirements
  • Completion of a 2-year post-secondary technical diploma or certification in a recognized computer/electronics program or equivalent combination of training and experience working in the information technology field.
  • Significant experience in technology operations, including current Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, network design and components, and supporting a variety of technology devices.
  • Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certification (MCSE).
  • Windows-based software skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database management.
