The Ottawa Senators, a leading sports and entertainment organization, is seeking a highly skilled and charismatic In-Game Host to join its Game Production team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating an engaging atmosphere for fans and acting as emcee for in-game promotions at Ottawa Senators hockey games.
Main Responsibilities- Attend all Ottawa Senators home games and select Ottawa Black Bears home games, which are held on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Execute in-game promotions, giveaways, and contests with fans.
- Deliver messaging live on camera and execute live on-camera interviews.
- Maintain an energetic attitude and hype up the crowd.
- Appear in promotional and marketing pieces as needed.
- 1-3+ years of on-camera or radio host/emcee experience required.
- Applicant must be bilingual (English & French).
- Candidate must be 19 years of age or older to apply.
- Ability to entertain a large crowd, be creative and engaging both scripted and unscripted.
- Connect with fans and assist with explanation, planning, and execution of promotions.
- Project and enunciate on a microphone while maintaining good expression.
- Perform in front of large audiences.
- Work with others in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Attend pre-game staff meetings, typically 2 to 2.5 hours before opening faceoff and rehearsals when required.
- Host additional team events if applicable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible hours and available to work most home games, including preseason and postseason if applicable.
- Working knowledge of hockey and lacrosse rules and regulations.
- Working knowledge of NLL and NHL players and teams.
