Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of cargo.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes, guaranteeing compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, transporting goods and materials with precision and care.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, minimizing downtime and ensuring timely delivery of cargo.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and operation.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining open communication and ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, providing valuable insights for future operations.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to strict protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Will train, providing a comprehensive onboarding process for new drivers.
  • Green job, involving duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Permanent employment, offering stability and security for the right candidate.
  • English language proficiency, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • 50 hours per week, providing a balanced work-life schedule.
