Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team at CRH and CVH. As a key member of our mental health services, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the development of innovative treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Collaborate with emergency department staff, primary care providers, and other specialists to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct consultations, develop treatment plans, and facilitate inpatient care as a consultant.
  • Educate nursing and MHSU staff on care plan development and treatment plans.
  • Participate in case management meetings and clinical administration meetings.
  • Liaise with other related community institutions and services.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance projects.
Requirements
  • Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License.
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) designation.
Benefits and Incentives

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:

  • Retention Premium: 6.09% on MSP and sessional billings.
  • Retention Flat Fee: $7,010.
  • Relocation Funding Available: up to $15,000.
  • Recruitment Incentive: $10,000.
