Job Description

As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with RT Medical, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including in-home, clinic, retirement home, or school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
  • Providing direct patient care, including wound care, IV medications, and re-sites
  • Collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Traveling within your region to provide care to patients in their homes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma from a recognized RPN program or equivalent
  • Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Experience as a visiting nurse, visiting registered nurse, or community nurse (an asset)
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach, with the ability to lift 50lbs independently
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR certification
  • Updated immunization records, including a two-step tuberculosis test within the last 6 months
  • Clear criminal background checks and Vulnerable Sector checks
