About the Role

The London District Catholic School Board is seeking a qualified French as a Second Language (FSL) Teacher to fill a Long-Term Substitute (LTO) position at St. Anne's Catholic Elementary School in St. Thomas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach French as a Second Language to elementary students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Education Degree and good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Qualifications appropriate to the position
  • Previous elementary teaching experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
  • Practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation, and assessment techniques
  • Current understanding of research, integrating technology, and best instructional practices
  • Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment
