About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at J&T MACHINE KNIFE INC. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating metal structures and components using various metalworking machines and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out reference points and patterns for metal fabrication projects
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, ensuring accuracy and precision
  • Weld or bolt sections together to create strong and durable metal components
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, such as cutting torches, drills, and grinders
  • Construct patterns and templates for metal fabrication projects
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, ensuring safety and efficiency
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in metal fabrication
  • Ability to work in an urban area and physically demanding environment
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
  • Initiative, organized, reliable, and a team player
