Job Title: Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Olymel s.e.c / l.p. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the operational logistics of our organization, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and process orders and instructions received from customers
  • Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including scheduling and dispatching personnel
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and materials
  • Follow-up on issues with work orders and resolve any discrepancies or problems that may arise
  • Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment to ensure optimal use of resources
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations and minimize downtime
  • Prepare and track work orders to ensure accurate and timely completion
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as logistics or transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly
