We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to join our team at Sault Ste. Marie. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the activities of construction teams, including laborers, carpenters, and other tradespeople.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Plan and coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
- Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve construction efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure projects are completed to the required standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regular project reports to management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; secondary school diploma preferred.
