- Loading and Unloading: You will be responsible for loading and unloading goods at various locations, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and handled.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Our drivers are responsible for maintaining the condition of their vehicles, including inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Payment and Receiving: You will be responsible for paying and receiving payments for goods, as well as handling any necessary paperwork.
- Emergency Repairs: In the event of an emergency, you will be responsible for performing roadside repairs to ensure the safe continuation of your journey.
- Preventive Maintenance: Regular maintenance is crucial to the safe operation of our vehicles. You will be responsible for performing routine checks and maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns.
- Cargo Security: You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all cargo, including tarping and securing loads as needed.
- Dangerous Goods: You will be responsible for transporting and handling dangerous goods, following all necessary safety protocols.
- AZ class license
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be handling heavy loads and working in a physically demanding environment.
- Workload: Our drivers work in a fast-paced environment, with a large workload and frequent overtime required.
- Repetitive Tasks: As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be performing repetitive tasks, including driving and loading/unloading cargo.
- Sitting: You will be required to sit for extended periods while driving, as well as during loading and unloading tasks.
- Organized: Our ideal candidate is highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
