Job Title: Construction Trades Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team at Bawa Property Management Inc.

Job Summary:

The Construction Trades Helper will assist in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, cleaning and lubricating equipment, and performing routine maintenance work.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Clean and lubricate cranes, concrete saws, grinding machines, drills, and other equipment
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physically demanding work, handling heavy loads, and repetitive tasks
  • Attention to detail and sound discrimination
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in various weather conditions
Working Conditions:
  • Work site environment: outdoors, at heights, underground, noisy, dangerous, dusty, cold/refrigerated, and hot
  • Work setting: docksides, urban area, mines and quarries, remote location, various locations, rural area, shipyards, industrial plant, factory or plant, construction site, and oilfield construction industry

  • Concrete saws

Security and Safety:
  • Criminal record check required
Transportation/Travel Information:
  • Own transportation and vehicle required
