About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring inventory accuracy, conducting investigations, and leading physical inventory periodically.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse duties using equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Investigate and identify the root cause of inventory variances and manage physical inventory counts on short timelines.
  • Conduct physical inventory procedures and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain the Over Short & Damage (OS&D) program to minimize losses and optimize inventory levels.
  • Process claims and warehouse transfers efficiently and accurately.
  • Inspect and correct inventory diagnostics to ensure data integrity.
  • Manage client exit and deletion procedures to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Enter and release count plans within the Warehouse Management System to ensure seamless inventory management.
  • Provide picking support for stock outages, incorrect articles, and damaged goods found during processing.
  • Balance transactions and location discrepancies within the Warehouse Management System to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify nonconformities and maintain article records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements to ensure quality and regulatory compliance with Health Canada and other applicable authorities.

Your Skills and Experience

  • College diploma or university degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control with freight forwarding, supply chain, and logistics industries is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP is required.
  • Experience with material handling equipment, such as forklifts, is an asset.
  • Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of various production and quality systems, such as GMP and ISO, is an asset.
