We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Case Manager to join our team at Manitoba Public Insurance. As a Senior Case Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of moderate to highly complex injury claims, providing expert guidance and support to claimants to ensure their recovery and access to benefits and external resources.
Key Responsibilities- Case Management: Develop and implement rehabilitation plans, return-to-work plans, and long-term case plans tailored to the individual needs of each claimant.
- Claimant Support: Provide claimants with clear guidance and support to understand their responsibilities for recovery, advise on changes to their medical condition, and facilitate medical consultations as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with claimants' rehabilitation teams, facilitate medical consultations, and participate in decision-making and information sharing within the pod environment.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in case management.
- Education: Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Medical Rehabilitation, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Five years of case management experience, with a strong understanding of industry standard case management techniques.
- Skills: Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to effectively assess complex claimant and case management scenarios and determine possible courses of action.
- Travel and Transportation: Ability to travel within Manitoba and have access to a personal vehicle.
