About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Fort Stars Daycare. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our children, promoting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities that foster a love for learning, including storytelling, singing, and exploring local attractions, while guiding children in developing essential life skills such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare comprehensive reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for our children.
  • Environment and Safety: Create and maintain a secure and healthy environment that prioritizes the well-being of our children.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands: Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language and Work Schedule: Fluency in English and ability to work 40 hours per week.
