At numbercrunch, we are a growing team of bookkeepers, controllers, and CFOs working cohesively to provide small and medium-sized businesses with an outsourced financial service team leveraging cloud-based accounting tools like QuickBooks Online, Hubdoc, and other efficiency apps.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a CFO or virtual/fractional CFO to join our team. As a hybrid work environment, you would be working at our lovely Kanata office on Tue/ Wed/ Thurs and from home on Mon/ Fri. If your ideal employment situation is part-time or Contract, we encourage you to apply as all engagement situations will be considered in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-create financial plans and budgets for clients, and produce monthly variance reports
  • Confirm Key Performance Indicators to drive greater performance
  • Create data rooms for supporting clients through due diligence
  • Produce reports that help business owners better understand their financial performance
  • Due Diligence on fundraising or M&A
  • Accounting diploma or University Degree. We recognize skills over designations and respect international training achievements. Accounting designation not mandatory.
Requirements
  • Experience working with cloud-based accounting software
  • Solid technical accounting skills
  • Very strong Excel skills (must know how to use pivot tables at minimum)
