Chief Risk Officer

At Accoravillage, we are seeking a seasoned Chief Risk Officer to lead our Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ensure the company's risk appetite is aligned with its strategic plans and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement the RMF, providing oversight and parameters around various risks, including credit, liquidity, and financial risks.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's goals.
  • Establish strategic interactions with the Chief Credit Officer, Head of Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management team, technology team, and Enterprise Chief Risk Officer to review and refine the risk appetite.
  • Ensure lines of business identify, measure, manage, monitor, and report key risks, including credit, market, liquidity, operational, third-party, technology, and reputational risks.
  • Identify and manage emerging risks that may impact the company's ability to achieve its strategic goals and business plans.
  • Provide risk reporting and updates to the Board, Executive, and QFG Risk Management group.
Requirements:
  • Senior-level risk management experience within an OSFI-regulated financial institution or in an advisory/consulting practice for such an organization.
  • Strong knowledge of credit, market, liquidity, operational (with an emphasis on third-party risk management) frameworks and sound practices.
  • Strong knowledge of OSFI regulations and risk management principles and practices.
  • Proven track record of successful relationships with financial industry regulators.
  • Demonstrated ability to use knowledge of internal and external influences to ensure robust risk management in a responsive and agile environment.
