Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team at West Prince Bookkeeping Ltd. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and other financial documents.
  • Accounting Software Management: Manage and maintain accounting software, including Simply Accounting and TaxPrep.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including trial balances, financial statements, and other financial documents.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
