Accounting Technician Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our team at West Prince Bookkeeping Ltd. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, as well as reconcile accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balances and statistical reports.
  • Accounting Software: Use accounting software to perform various tasks, including journal entries and financial analysis.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
