Purpose:

As a Data Governance Analyst, you will work closely with various business units to understand their operations, gather requirements, and suggest effective solutions. Your role will involve the design and implementation of Data Observability and Governance capabilities that align with our HR Data Strategy. This includes the development of Data Catalogs, Data Lineage, Data Profiling, and Quality, utilizing advanced cloud technologies such as Azure and GCP. You will collaborate with the Data Platform team to ensure that data reliability, scalability, and availability standards are upheld. Your expertise in Data Governance will be essential in managing a diverse range of stakeholders and collaborating with teams both locally and globally to initiate and drive impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain comprehensive Data Governance frameworks to improve data quality and ensure consistent data management practices across the organization.
  2. Implement and supervise Data Governance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business goals.
  3. Oversee the Data Lifecycle, including classification, storage, retention, and deletion, to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  4. Work with the Data Office and Data Steward, engaging with data owners to uphold data governance standards and address data-related challenges.
  5. Utilize Data Governance tools to manage data catalogs, data lineage, and metadata, ensuring easy access to data assets.
  6. Lead and execute Data Governance initiatives, collaborating with data stewards and business units to achieve data consistency and standardization.
  7. Stay informed about rapidly evolving technological trends, engage in self-learning of new technologies, and comprehend the business and technology strategies.

Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Proven experience in Data Governance frameworks and a solid understanding of data protection regulations and compliance.
  3. Demonstrated capability to develop and implement Data Governance policies and procedures that ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  4. Proficiency in SQL, data mining, and best practices in data observability.
  5. Ability to lead Data Governance initiatives and projects, including the creation of data dictionaries, business glossaries, and reference data management.
  6. Familiarity with cloud environments and data governance tools.
  7. Bilingualism in Spanish/English is an asset.

Work Arrangement:

This position is currently a Hybrid role, subject to change based on business needs.
