Position: 3D Design Supervisor/Art Director
Location: Remote or EST time zone

We are seeking a skilled 3D Design Supervisor/Art Director to enhance our North American operations. This pivotal role will manage the creation of modeling, production, and rendering for animated content that is character-driven and short-form.

The ideal candidate will possess significant experience as a Supervisor in 3D character and environment design, along with a comprehensive background in overseeing and engaging in the complete 3D production workflow.

Preferred candidates will have a history of producing content for projection and large-scale out-of-home (OOH) exhibitions and screen technologies.

The successful applicant will demonstrate exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership abilities, acting as an inspiring figure for the team. They will be adept at creative problem-solving and focused on delivering solutions.

Our team's enthusiasm and dedication are crucial for pushing the boundaries in the Experiential Design field. We value a proactive mindset alongside experience and are looking for individuals who can integrate seamlessly into our existing framework, take ownership of processes, and embody our core values. The right candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, adeptly managing multiple project components and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor the design team in alignment with the creative director, established style guides, and production team.
  • Ensure content compatibility across large-scale projection mapped canvases in collaboration with the technical team.
  • Contribute to modeling and texturing tasks as necessary.
  • Finalize lighting, rendering, and refinement of scenes and assets.
  • Maintain quality and adherence to established style throughout all production phases.
  • Engage in presentations and project management discussions with the Senior Producer and Project Director to showcase work in progress and updates.
  • Effectively communicate client and stakeholder feedback to the design team.
  • Assist with materials required for pitches and client meetings on other projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Blender, Maya).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and alongside the 3D Animation Supervisor.
  • Experience leading small creative teams in a fast-paced setting.
  • Background in animation, motion graphics, or VFX projects.
  • Experience with animated films, television shows, or game projects is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in immersive creative industries and/or developing content for experiential activations.
  • Background in creating engaging interactive media and content.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-departmentally with interactive and technical teams across various time zones.
  • Strong skills in leading and managing remote teams.
